ELFIE DOORS are here! |
There's Always Something Fun-filled Happening on Candy Corny Island You can visit simply by closing your eyes and imagining you're here. SNEAK PEEK: The Story of Elfie Doors |
Candy Corny Island is a fun-filled place where Elfies from the North Pole enjoy going on vacation. For extra fun, doors of many sizes and shapes magically appear. As the story goes, when they are opened and entered, Elfies and their friends (like Eudora Unicorn and Lynnee Ladybug) will see another door just like the one they saw on the island, but, they’ll be in a different place ready for them to explore. They’re told there will be a key near the door which needs to be taken with them after the door is locked. They’ll need to keep the key with them during their visit so they can find the same door again when they’re ready to return to Candy Corny Island. They’re always excited to open it because they know they’re about to enter a wonderful place for them to discover new things! What happens when they’re ready to explore? Use your imagination to write a story about their adventures. Ah, but first you’re invited to create your own Elfie door. It can be any size or shape. It can be made of paper (like coloring art sheets) and placed against a wall or a freestanding door. It could even be part of a building like a bird house. Two things to know are: 1. Your Elfie door should be candy corn color (orange, yellow and white) so Elfies can easily see them. Did you know that there are also doors used by fairies? The colors of their doors are not candy corn color so Elfies know they’re not going to return them to CCI. Did you know that the original Fairy doors are located in Ann Arbor, Michigan? Wouldn’t it be nifty to have Elfie doors near where you live? 2. Also, be sure to leave a key near your door. When it’s gone, that means an Elfie is visiting nearby. How do you know for sure? |
